Background & Experience
Before deciding to create his coaching business, Simon was already a well-respected and established leader working with some of Canada’s most recognized brands, including WA-2! and 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. As the President of WA-2!, Western Canada’s leader in water filtration, office coffee and kitchen supplies, he brought the company to reach record-setting revenues in only 3 years.It was his strategic direction as Managing Director at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? that helped propel the organization from a $36 million business to over $185 million. The brand now has close to 200 worldwide locations across Canada, the USA, and Australia. He continues to remain involved with these companies at a coaching and consulting capacity.
Simon is the Chair of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Small Business Council. He is committed to working with small businesses and believes they are the foundation to our local economy. Through his involvement with multiple small businesses, he has been instrumental in kick-starting stagnant organizations into high gear.
He is a certified Predictive Index (PI) Analyst. Predictive Index is a tool used to help understand what your motivational needs are and what is important to you that drives your behaviour. All of Simon’s clients start with the opportunity to gain better insight as to their struggling points, and what is making them stuck. Through this tool and Simon’s in-depth analysis and experience, he can help you identify what has been blocking the way. The best way to get started is to schedule your first free consultation. You’ll get a sense of how I work and after spending some time getting to know your unique situation, I’ll work with you on a variety of solutions to help you get unstuck.
The range of coaching I do depends on you. It’s customized to your specific needs. I work with clients either on an individual basis, or with teams, with the primary focus of getting you and/or your team moving forward to finally reach those far-fetching goals that seem so far away. I can also work with you with the actual development and the implementation of your strategic plans. It’s a wide range to cover, but I’m confident that I can help you overcome the barriers to truly see that however far away your business goals seem, they are attainable. You just need to see it first. I can help you gain that insight.
I’m Not a Textbook
Coach
My approach as a coach is personalized. I do not believe in throwing a bunch of textbook concepts at you or reciting the latest buzz words to impress you. I prefer to take the time to gain a solid understanding of your organization’s needs to come up with a customized plan that will create real results. As your coach, I’m determined to working together with you to drill down and determine what has been blocking the way, figuring out why they have been occurring, and then coming up with the best way to remove them. You will finally gain the clarity you need and the freedom to work on your business, rather than in it.
